Prof. Derek O’Keeffe, one of the inaugural winners of the Clinical Innovation Award, speaks about his prize winning innovation “HapNav”, a wrist worn device that helps blind people to navigate a room using ultrasonic ranging and haptic feedback. Delving into the adaptation process, Prof. O’Keeffe explains the trials and tribulations that came along with his success.
